The 13.28-acre Mount Dora Recreation and Nature Park is located near the Mount Dora Swimming Complex and several educational buildings. The project will provide public access to Lake Franklin and will feature a quarter-mile-long nature trail, picnic facilities, a playground. Interpretive signs will be posted along the nature trail to educate park visitors about the natural habitat of the site. The park will also conduct environmental classes targeting elementary and middle school students.
