Ruthie Watson Park, named for a neighborhood leader, is an open, passive place on the southwest intersection of Grandview Street and Lincoln Avenue. The park is a part of the Lincoln Avenue Trail and provides a conveniently placed community park. The park serves as a gathering spot for checkers or a stroll down the paved promenade, which will have pedestals recognizing civic, religious, and other community members who have played an important role in the neighborhood's history. A bus stop serving Lake Xpress passengers is also located in the park.
