This spot has three areas with playground equipment for children, and numerous tiny workout stations, concrete and wooden picnic tables strewn throughout, and 2 pavilions. A stage is located in the largest and most front shelter area, while a sandy volleyball court is located near the second shelter area. There is boat access to the Peace River, as well as trails leading to more private wooded regions. Alligators have been known to appear near the boat loading location, so be cautious. The 120-acre Fort Meade Outdoor Recreation Area provides visitors with a beautiful woodland setting along the shores of the Peace River.
