Alafia River Corridor Nature Preserve SouthFree

12098 South County Road 39LithiaFlorida, USA

This preserve provides access to beautiful trails for hiking, and running, and even provides access to Alafia River for fishing. This makes for a great place to get out and enjoy some sun and nature. The trail is a 5.5 mile loop. Heading east from the trailhead, follow the yellow blazes down an access road, passing a shelter with picnic tables to the left. To the right, oddly straight rows of closely packed trees stand perpendicular to the trail, remnants of an old laurel oak farm.
