Scotty's Cove provides an official canoe/kayak stop on the Shingle Creek Paddling Trail. The site hosts iconic flora and fauna such as mesic oak flatwoods, a bald cypress stand and freshwater marsh wetlands that are home to an array of wildlife. This spot is home for osprey, limpkin, sandhill cranes, great blue heron, anhinga, songbirds and red belly turtles.
